Who we are
Salary Cap Football (the website at salarycap.football and its iPhone app) is run by Jason Stoudt, operating as Stoudt Labs (“we”, “us”). These terms are an agreement between you and us. By creating an account or using Salary Cap Football you agree to them. If you don’t agree, don’t use it.
The game
- Salary Cap Football is free to play. There is no entry fee, no wagering and no prizes paid by us. Don’t use it to run a betting pool.
- It is invite-only: you join a league through an invitation from its commissioner. You must be at least 13 years old.
- Keep your sign-in details to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
- Player prices, scores and statistics come from public sources and can be late or wrong. We correct what we can, but results are not guaranteed.
Acceptable use
League chat, team names and anything else you write are yours, and you are responsible for them. You give us permission to store and show them to your league so the service works. You agree not to post or do anything that:
- is hateful, harassing, threatening, sexually explicit or violent, or attacks anyone for their race, ethnicity, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability or age;
- bullies, impersonates or reveals private information about anyone;
- is spam, a scam, or illegal, or infringes someone else’s rights;
- tries to break, overload or get around the security of the service, or to reach accounts or leagues that aren’t yours.
Zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users
We have zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. League chat filters slurs and threats before they are posted. Anyone can report a message or block a member from the message’s menu. A report goes to your league’s commissioner and to us, and we act on reports within 24 hours: we remove content that breaks these terms and suspend or terminate the accounts of users who post it. Commissioners can also remove messages and mute members in their league. You can reach us about any content at jason@stoudtlabs.io.
Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time in Profile, Privacy, Delete Account; the Privacy Policy explains what that removes. We may suspend or terminate an account, or remove content, that breaks these terms or puts other people at risk, with or without notice.
The iPhone app
If you use the iPhone app, Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content and has no obligation to support it.
No affiliation
Salary Cap Football is an independent game. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by the National Football League, any team, or any players’ association. Team and player names are used only to describe real-world results.
Disclaimers and limits
- The service is provided “as is” and “as available”. We don’t promise it will always be available, error-free or secure, and we may change or stop any part of it.
- To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost data or content, arising from your use of the service, and our total liability to you is limited to $50. Some places don’t allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.
- We aren’t responsible for what other users post, though we act on reports as described above.
Changes and governing law
We may update these terms. If a change matters, we will show it in the app before it applies; using the service after that means you accept it. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, USA.
